In total, the InnovationSPIN at the Innovation Campus in Lemgo consists of six floors - from the basement to the top floor. After a construction period of more than half a year, the first upper floor is currently being built. Now that the shells of the basement and first floor with the spacious atrium have been completed, work has begun on the third level.

This is where offices, meeting rooms and co-working spaces are housed, as well as other facilities. The innovation lab "Medical and Health Technology" from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts occupies a larger space. Here, the Life Science Technologies and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science departments offer various qualification profiles. Among other things, InnovationSPIN provides opportunities for scientists and students to work on topics related to medical and health technology. It is planned to focus on the specific application context of healthcare with a view to digitization, pharmaceutical aspects, drug production as well as hygiene and microbiology.

The Department of Life Science Technologies stands out especially for its research cluster "Applied Health Sciences" with the fields of microbiology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical technology and cosmetics and detergents. The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science meets the digital challenges with its Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) in the areas of data science, Big Data, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0, information fusion and human-machine interaction. The concept is supported by medical professionals from the Lippe Clinic and the Institute for Science Dialogue (IWD) of the TH OWL as well as the Department of Business Administration and Economics.
