The construction sign is up, the excavation work is in progress and the carcass work will start shortly: On the Innovation Campus Lemgo, a think tank for new small and medium-sized businesses is now being created in the form of InnovationSPIN, a joint project of the city of Lemgo and the district of Lippe, the Paderborn-Lippe District Craftsmen's Association and the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
InnovationSPIN is one of the REGIONALE22 projects within the UrbanLand OWL structural development program and is the first of the projects to enter the active construction phase. The building sign was therefore erected by the building owners and project participants during a live broadcast to the Schüco Arena in Bielefeld, where the UrbanLand event of OstWestfalenLippe GmbH took place at the same time. "We are on schedule and also within the range of the estimated costs", announced Michael H. Lutter, Deputy General Manager of the Paderborn-Lippe District Craftsmen´s Association and Managing Director of Innovation Spin GmbH.
The contract for the shell construction was awarded to Kögel Bau GmbH & Co. KG from Bad Oeynhausen, which is based in Horn-Bad Meinberg with its Kögel and Nunne Bau GmbH branch. "We are very pleased that a local guild company of the Lippe Guild of Building Trades has been awarded the contract," the building owners said, and in this context they pointed out the unique architecture of the InnovationSPIN, which picks up on the core of the project: "The building concept follows the guiding principle of cooperation through an interplay of open and closed areas and invites people from the region and from different departments to exchange ideas. To this end, for example, a working group of the project partners will plan the interior design in the next step.
East Westphalia-Lippe is organizing the NRW structural development program REGIONALE 2022 under the heading "UrbanLand". The aim is to strengthen the equality of living conditions in the city and countryside through innovative and model projects. They provide answers to the question of how we want to live, reside, work, move and organize our leisure time in the future. In order to ensure the quality of the projects, potential REGIONALE projects for East Westphalia-Lippe go through a three-stage selection and qualification process from C status to B status and A status. Only then do the ideas become a REGIONALE 2022 project. The first results will become visible in the presentation year 2022.
